Roy Kaplan: Out of Sight [Promo]

If you need something found or something found out, Roy Kaplan is the man for the job. With the ability to talk to ghosts and bypass any lock, there's no mystery beyond his reach and no trouble that's big enough to scare him off.

In Out of Sight, Kaplan, with the help of his ghost roommate Wes, takes on mysteries from the missing persons to the murders and everything in between. But as Kaplan keeps an eye out for trouble, he'll soon find there's trouble with an eye out for him...

Roy Kaplan (or Roy Kaplan, Private Investigator if you prefer), your new paranormal cyberpunk detective audio drama launches December 28, 2024! This first season, Out of Sight, is a total of twelve 30-40 minute episodes, inspired by old time radio shows such as Richard Diamond. It features the titular Roy Kaplan--private investigator, ex-burglar, and psychic--as he solves many kinds of mysteries around the city with the occasional assist from his ghost roommate Wes.

The format is largely episodic, with the intention that you can listen to any episode without needing to listen to the others (though it's still preferred to listen to them in release order). It's written, edited, and produced by me (Jesse Peng) and features the lovely voice talents of over 30 very talented voice actors across the season. This project has been three years in the making, so it is a great relief to finally start releasing it for everyone to hear.

This promo pack is intended as a place where people can donate to support production by using itch.io's pay what you want feature. I've set it up like this because I really dislike paywalling things, but at the same time it's not sustainable for me to keep paying for production out of pocket, so if you enjoy Roy Kaplan and would like more, please consider donating so I can pay for season 2! (Or wait until the end of the season when you can buy things like the script book or the full season download.)
